Epic Sustainable Living Expo Comes to Vancouver

Environmental concerns have been catapulted from the exclusive domain of ardent environmentalists to an omnipresent topic of discussion in everyday life. It seems that everywhere you turn, you see something that has been labeled “environmentally friendly” or you hear someone talk about doing their part for the planet. However, it’s often difficult to know what is legitimate and what is just another example of corporate “green washing.”

If you are the type of person that is concerned about the environment, the Epic Sustainable Living Expo will be held in Vancouver on May 8-10, 2009 at the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre West. Western Canada's only green consumer tradeshow and eco-marketplace will show you how to minimize your environmental footprint, what products are actually “environmentally friendly,” and have helpful tips on everything from lowering your power bill to environmentally sound gardening. There will also be a number of keynote speakers present at the expo. Continue this environmentally friendly streak by renting computers from a computer rental store.

Mini Projectors for Trade Show Displays

Do you ever get tired of lugging your projector from presentation to presentation? Well, you will be relieved to know that the miniaturization that has become so popular in laptops has finally been applied to projectors. Thanks to a few mini projectors that have recently appeared on the market, you don’t need to lug around that massive projector anymore.

New projectors, like the Dell M109S will fit in the palm of your hand. If that’s not small enough, the 3M MPro110 and the Optoma Pico PK101 will fit in your shirt pocket. But, what about the quality of the projection? The projectors aren’t quite up to the task of a large scale presentation, but they are fabulous for the sort of display booth work that is common at trade shows.

While the new micro projectors may not be ready to fully replace your old projector, it can make setting up at a trade show much faster and easier. If you need the extra help, projector rental is available at computer rental stores.

Digital Pen and Paper can Save a Presentation

When presenting at a trade show, have you discovered the limitations of your static presentations? Invariably, someone will ask a question that was not considered when making the presentation. When answering these questions, diagrams or some other illustration might be helpful. But what are you to do if you don’t have a whiteboard handy? Canson and come up with a great solution for this situation with their Papershow digital pen and paper set.

By plugging the Bluetooth dongle into a USB port and writing on special paper, whatever you write will appear on your computer screen. This can then be projected for everyone to see. This is extremely handy since it’s a safe bet that if one person has this question, someone else probably does, too. This allows you to fully and coherently answer any impromptu questions without interrupting the flow of your presentation. It also give you the appearance of being prepared for any eventuality. If you need an updated version of your computer be sure to contact a computer rental store near you.
